Bonnet for my 2008 Partol
I've had a bigger front mount intercooler fitted to my 2008 3.0 TDi Patrol, so I no longer need the scoop on the bonnet (it is now blocked to stop excess underbonnet air). This blocked bonnet scoop now make my Patrol look a bit like a 1965 Cortina 1300 would - with a rear wing!!
I now want a plain bonnet, a la 4800i
Does anyone know where I can find a decent used one, preferably in silver, but actually, any colour will do.

Re: Bonnet for my 2008 Partol
Why not just block the hole from underneath & keep the scoop? Effectively making the scoop a dummy...

Re: Bonnet for my 2008 Partol
Hugejp,
I thought of that, but it will fill up with rubbish and will be difficult to clean. I have blocked them, with neat aluminium covers on the inside on the vertical plane. This however makes it very visible that it has been blocked and looks really silly
Maybe do as Tinus suggest will be the best option....

Re: Bonnet for my 2008 Partol
I have a scoop on iNyathi 's bonnet. BUT no inter cooler [maybe must buy up Malcolm's old inter cooler ???]
Back to the scoop on iNyathi's bonnet -- Up to 140 KMH it makes as little as NO difference on the under bonnet temperature or pressure.
At one time I blocked it off and closely monitored the water and engine temp on the MADMAN .. and really, it made NO difference. .. I took the towelling out and the duct tape of.
Since I have been running it op as when I bought iNyathi
MALCOLM .. do you still have that top mount I C ??

Ja, Mac, ek het hom nog hier by die huis.
Tinus,
Cirrus het my voertuig gebruik om 'n groter intercooler kit wat voor, agter die grille, pas te ontwerp. Die nuwe een is ongeveer 300m hoog, 400mm breed en so 60mm dik.
