55l Fuel Tank for Sale

Hi all

I have this 55l Fuel Tank for sale, with the 1.5m hose. Bought it "in case" last year thinking of using it for extra water / fuel for my December trip, but decided against taking it. A few of you will remember me asking if I could use it inside the vehicle. It's fluorinated, so can be used for diesel or petrol, and you can use it for water storage too (according to Pioneer Plastics)

Never been used, been sitting in the garage since October. Fit's length-ways behind the front seats, or on the roof rack. 1120mm x 200mm x 310mm

R1000 and it's yours.

The red tanks are good for fuel , but not good for drinking water. The red tanks have been treated with chemicals to make then good for fuel use, but renders them bad for drinking water. If you want to use the tank for drinking water it must be the green tank (which is good for drinking water, but no good for fuel).

Thanks Jorrie

I was also skeptical and that's why I asked Pioneer Plastics (who manufactured the tank) if it was safe. Ideally, I would like a written / spec sheet answer to that from them.

This website gave me a bit of insight though:
