Re: WAECO CF50 freezers on special
I bought the 50 litre Waeco back in 2005.Michael wrote:Yet again more Waeco CF50 50L fridges/freezers up for grabs for R4,999

This seems to be like a VW Beetle, it has not changed much in 10 years
Still works like clock work today.
It cost me then around 4k.
So this is a real bargain.

Re: WAECO CF50 freezers on special
This specific 50L is a gas fridge, not 12v ( although it may also be 220v, but definitively not 12v)

Re: WAECO CF50 freezers on special
It works with amonia, is this good or bad compared to newer technology fridges? (Assuming that amonia is older technology)...

Re: WAECO CF50 freezers on special
Fanus, I would not even consider a 3 way fridge, I have had a few of them over the years and have not been impressed with any of then. They will never get as cold as a compressor fridge and they must be kept level to work properly. Spend the extra money and get the right tool for the job. I have 3 at the moment a 90L -40, a 40L -40 (had this one for about 20 years and still going strong) and a 50 Waeco love all 3 of them but the waeco is the most effecent
