The main thing to get right is the mounting points. Do a search on the forum where a couple of guys have done it for GU's. I even think there is a template for the mounting points somewhere which you could mod for the GU.

I find this step incredibly useful.

I wonder if it won't be easiest to make some brackets that fit inside the existing bumber to carry the swing arm/s. Then you just need to drill holes through the bumper.

Do you use both the spare wheel carriers?
I need to find a place that can make me some to fit on my bakkie's bumper. (basically the same bumper as you got).

Fanus - Post a pic of your bumper. I have a plan for the spare wheel and Father Christmas may just swop you a bumper with double swingarms for a standard one :woo: :woo:

My standard spare wheel carrier will be available then if you want it..
can you post more pics of the swingarms. What do they look like without a wheel on them. (only got one spare, maybe I can put the hilift on the other one :wink: )
