Have you got spacers on with original Nissan mags?SJC wrote:
Thats an idea. (anti theft nuts.)
At the moment I got 4 open nuts on the one wheel. (same as patrol pickup steelies nuts).
But there is definitely less thread between the nuts&studs with these compared to when they are fitted on steelies, or when compared to the wheel nuts with the shaft.
The full length of the open nut's thread is not being utilized, wich is a concern. The anti theft nuts might have the same problem.

Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
Just looked at mine. I have 2 types of nut on (all closed) and the one's I got from Tiger Wheel and Tyre look the best (most meat).
The lock nuts are also from TW&T (I think McGard). They where expensive but also have more meat than the ones from Midas.
TW&T should be able to get nuts and lock nuts for you overnight if they do not have stock as their other branches have.

Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
Did fit them and in the process stripped some wheel nuts. So removed them again. Must be a combination of not enough thread and maybe over tightening them. Not sure. (And somehow managed to also strip a wheel stud).Mini Patrol wrote:SJC wrote: Have you got spacers on with original Nissan mags?
Think I need a torgue wrench..
Only afterwards heard from Graham that it is not advisable to use spacers on the original mags..
Was an expensive mistake.

Yep - No spacers with original mags as they are too thick.SJC wrote:Did fit them and in the process stripped some wheel nuts. So removed them again. Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
There is not much space on the original patrol mags. I am not sure if the locking nuts would work. Think it must be a nut with a shaft.

Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
I think wait for the Nissan original to arrive and make a decision from there.
I am fairly sure the original was closed.

Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
Got the 3 wheelnuts from Ni$$an today and sommer ordered another one.
It is 5cm in length.
If anyone got this type of nuts they want to sell, I am still looking for some. (for spare).

Re: Wanted: Patrol Wheel Nuts
My original sparewheel lock nut looks just like that and is the same key as rest of the car
