4.8 on gumtree...
https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-bakkie ... 0010395509
This is a strange one, I went to look at this vehicle almost 3years ago in Parys. It is the exact vehicle down to the carbon warped flairs, broken taillight, runway spots & the cabinet drawer system.
Funny thing is in close on 3 years the vehicle has only done 3000kms, it was on 287k when I drove it & the price has gone up from R180k to R320.
I walked away from this car back then as the price was too high for a hi- mileage 2005 even back then. & she had rust bubbles in the gutters where the roofrack had scratched.
The plate has changed, so I am sure it has a new owner, but it kills me to see the chances people take on what they ask for their vehicles.
Buyers beware...

Re: 4.8 on guntree...
I saw that car in a Parys showroom in March on our way back from the Northern Cape dune trip.
I remember it due to the fender flares being quite unique. Not standard for SA spec cars.
So the history would be interesting.
Not having done much mileage over such a long period sounds fishy.

What is not standard about the flares? Colour changed but the look like the standard facelift jobs. Some cars stand alot. It is not necessarily a bad thing. Toy box cars or holiday vehicles do that type of KM.Alex Roux wrote:I saw that car in a Parys showroom in March on our way back from the Northern Cape dune trip.

I have never seen the black flares on the facelift models distributed in SA.
If a car does less only say 5k per year, I would not want it, irrespective of the reasons for this. Too little mileage can mean that seals harden and start to leak.
If it is used for holidays only, it is very unlikely that it does as little as 5k. Maybe 10k. But even then it may stand in the garage for months on end. And that is not good.

Exact vehicle.
The Carbon wrap was applied due to bush rash, according to the previous (then) owner.

Re: 4.8 on gumtree...
The Bubble dash can be fixed
And if you are prepared to spend a bit, you can get rid of the scratches.
It is still a thoroughbred underneath, and if all intact, not abused and properly serviced, a 2005 model with 287k on clock.
Facelift model, I would say not more than 180k.
But that is assuming all checks out not major gremlins identified through an inspection by someone like Graham.
