Jorrie wrote: 26 Feb 2018 12:34 Yip, it was a good recovery training exercise. And the lesson learnt by some - Make sure you have decent recovery points front and back.
Can't agree more, Jorrie!!

Wow, by the sounds of things it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't make this one! I have some offroad skill, but I find that I do come short very quickly on technical obstacles.

I think I will hone my skills a bit more at dewildt and hennops before tackling this one I think.

Graham - not necessary - I took two complete novices as drivers in my vehicle as well as in the stock Patrol through the full course and they completed it with success - I just drove the last very challenging obstacle myself.

Secret - don't attempt this on you own!

They were there - with the Y62. You don't take a 1.3m vehicle on this course....and they did not....

George,
Die Y62 wat Britz Nissan by Piesangkloof gehad het, is nou myne. Gaan hom oor 13 dae in die Namib toets.
My wilde Supercharged 4.8 GRX (met al sy duisende ekstra's) sal binnekort te koop wees
