Re: Moegatle 15-17 September
Well I'm happy to report that the turbo and lockers were a huge success. The Jimny went without question and did not bother to stop. Sadly Antony's Jimny did not have lockers in, so he got stuck a few times, and on the last obstacle we had to rescue him from toppling over. The only issue I have now is lack of ground clearance. The protective covers had to work overtime on the rocks and I came back with some deep scratches in the Jackals. Thank goodness they were there! Time to invest in bigger tires I think.
As for the day, it was hot as hell, but great fun. Seeing that many cars trying these obstacles was a pleasure. I just think we should have split off in smaller groups as we spent quite a bit of time waiting around.
Unfortunately, after we had to rescue Antony at the last obstacle, we got separated from the group, and not knowing where to go, I missed out on Koos se klim. Well, next time then.
Thanks to the organizers and the owners of Moegatle for a great day.
PS: Some of these obstacles had Swambo's nerves a little on edge, so she spent no time on pictures. The only pictures I have are these. Enjoy anyway.

Re: Moegatle 15-17 September
Thank you Wilhelm for the pictures.
I was very lazy with camera this time.
It was only me and Alex Botha that attempted Klipdrift out of our group. It is a deceivingly difficult obstacle with a few line options and very steep and slippery.
Sliding to the left guarantees vehicle damage, and I have a new "drank label".
With less people waiting and time to try different tire pressure and line , we should conquer it. WE WILL BE BACK!!
Koos se klim saw a few of our group go up and bravo to them. It is daunting to see a 3 ton vehicle using all the power and just make it up.
Pity about the 4l v6 Hilux that came perilously close to a tragic end with the driver losing it and just keeping power on whilst sliding backwards with all wheels spinning.
In my opinion , a smaller group will allow for better control and a better experience for participants.
Good one Mr Fullard. we will see you soon.
