May I suggest that if all goes well and we have completed Baboons by the 5th that we go and have a look at Letele Pass? It is about 190 km away.

I cannot see the harm done in a "look / see" detour.
Those that are in a hurry can go straight home.

My understanding of Letele is that it is a big collection of boulders masquerading as a pass.
It should not be done without 35" tires and lockers all round and probably comparable to Carnage Canyon in terms of difficulty and likely damage

I really want to do this one and have been getting away without rock sliders untill now....... but think its sort of a must have for this trip?

I drove Baboons pass in a 2.7 Nissan Terrano (LWB) without any lockers/ LSD nor rockslider. I'll post some pics later.

Youtube wat ek gesien het van karre wat gly was baie-sukkel (dit was sneeu en/of reen).
So droe toestande, dan dink ek sal dit redelik maklik wees in Patrol.

Wat rocksliders betref:
Michael, jy het al baie plekke gery waar ek dit nie sou waag sonder sliders nie. Jou besluit. Jy sal dit in elk geval een of ander tyd moet opsit.
