We drove down and convened on Thursday evening - Ramabanta lodge
Drove the trail from 8:30 and finished at 5pm on Friday
Camped Friday night at Semonkeng.
Drove back home on Saturday morning. But some of us decided to follow the Jeep (Francois and Santa) down a muddy trail at a waterfall. That set us back an hour or so.

Total damages on Baboons

a) I have a slightly bent tie rod and a broken valve
b) Two rear tail lights cracked
c) Various brandewyn vlekkies

No recoveries were necessary
Lots of knocks on the chassis and protector plates.

All in all, it was tougher than I expected

We were extremely fortunate.
It rained the day before and the day after we drove the pass
On the day of driving it was sunny, clear blue sky and fantastic views of the mountains.
The wet terrain did make rocks loose that span out and we made good use of Dawie’s (ossewa) koevoet a couple of times.

Others took more and better photos than I did. Steve (biggles) took some fantastic clips with a drone.
So hopefully he will be able to post some of that.
