I don't think that I am going to make this. We've got a trip to Namakwaland planned a little later this year, and I think I'll be putting my resources into that. Kom ons kyk hoe speel hy uit.

Minimum reached. Booking confirmed
Two more places available in order to be guaranteed of a drive on this weekend.
Further details:
Price is 750 per vehicle, not per person. And this is what you get for it:
a) Camping at base on the Friday night, with hot water facilities.
b) A guide in front and back for Saturday and Sunday's driving.
c) On Saturday lunch is provided. The guide will braai boerewors rolls. You can also have "seconds". This is for every person (incl passengers, even though the price is per vehicle).
d) Guides also carry water tanks for those that wish to shower at the viewpoint on the Saturday night (so the Boegman clan need not bring the 500 liter tank)
e) Guides also make the fire for Saturday night.
f) Guides make pap & sous for Saturday night.
So essentially you only need to arrange for dinner on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday morning, a piece of meat for the fire on Saturday night, and breakfast on Sunday morning.
If you bring three mates along, it is four people per vehicle, but the price per vehicle remains the same (R750).
That will work out to be 184,50 per person, excl fuel.
On the down side:
We need to pay deposit by 3 October (at the very latest) - which is 100% of the price.
This is at least for 10 vehicles, since this the minimum that they require on the trail.
The reason for this is because they used to work on a 10% deposit, but had numerous late cancellations, and losing out on others that wanted to come.
But I think given what we get for it, this is still very reasonable requirement.
One more thing:
You get a certificate when completing the bundu trail on Sunday.
The name on the certificate can be anything you want, but you need to specify it.
If you want the name on your certificate to be anything other than you proper real name and surname, as it appears in the forum details, let me know., Rather by PM, to avoid too much clutter on this thread.
Welldone Alex ek dink dis n great deal en sommer op ons stoep
