Re: Swazi trip = Moegatle !!!!!
Thanks Ian
I finally got hold of Betsie 40 minutes ago. For those interested, the campsites have power and ablutions with hot water.
The also have wood but I will take some of my own, as I suspect theirs may be wet now!
She said nothing indicating that they might not be open.
However, it looks as if I might now only be coming on Saturday morning, and I will be sans co-driver.

9 uur is 'n goeie tyd.
Die gene wat vroeg oggend Saterdag deurkom moet maar vroeg opstaan.
As mens te laat vertrek, dan is dit nie genoeg tyd nie.

Ek kom eers more oggend.
Miskien moet ek by se:
9uur klaar afgeblaas en reg vir Alex se briefing.
Ek sit ook nou sonder co-driver, so gaan weer 'n paar kinders van Abraham Kriel saam bring

Re: Swazi trip = Moegatle !!!!!
Road Condition Report - as Promised
Took a drive up the R511 up until the dirt road turn-off to Moegatle / Dikholo.
It's not too bad. There are a bunch of new potholes, but they're small / shallow. Not much to worry about. About 2km North of Krokodilberg (Alex - you'll remember that place - it's where you lost a tyre on the rocky ascent) the road is still flooded in two places shortly after each other. It is predominantly flooded on the other side of the road, but the flooding does extend into the North-bound lane. You also have South-bound cars swerving into the North-bound lane to avoid the water. Please be careful there.
Other than that, no issues. I was expecting carnage. I was so disappointed, I took the dirt road back to Brits (from Zoutpansdrif to Sonop). Dongas washed into the road. Pools of water. Acres of mud and turf. A lot of fun was had. But the truck is very, very, very dirty now...
