Hi Michael,

TX. Just using Promotec to get fly wheel results on my Troll and also talked to SAC and for this I should be at 143kW and 459Nm, but boost on my Troll is only .6 Bar. Must be the large inter cooler I have and the 3"straight through exhaust. Not bad for 400 +km on it.

Thank you very much for a well organized Dyno Day.
Nice Day, Nice Event and very nice people.
I was quite surprised about the big number of different engine variations and also quite surprised of the performance of the various diesel powered cars.
With 131 KW / 285 NM (flywheel) I was ranking on the lower end…. But nevertheless, I am quite ok with that result. Driving like nanny I will in any case only use a fraction of the power available.

Special Thanks to Oom Mac as well Leon and team/ SAC Boksburg for making this event possible.
….and not to forget Kobus for the nice and interesting chat + the patrol manual.

Thank you all
Vielen Dank
Henning / Patrol 4.5 auto
What I don't understand is that I also have a 4.5 with manual gearbox (compared to Henning's auto), same size tyres, also 2001 model and I got 129 KW / 298 NM, so what ratio do they use to get to the flywheel power and torque?? It must be different for auto and manual boxes.

Hay Juice, I was on my way, bankrupted myself fueling up the 4.8 (and got my ticket stamped by SWMABO). I was told that things would end only at 3 but when I phoned Oom Mac at 1.00 he told me they had locked up and you lot where watching the worse dry out on the braai!

Where is Ian twee to back me up getting filled with lead in the flak jacket :surprised:

Ian een - a bit of off-topic backup upcoming.

I love diesel. I use it to prevent rust on the chassis of my vehicles when we do boat work. I spray it on a few days before using a garden sprayer. It works well, but it gives the vehicle a bit of a "greasy" smell for a couple of days until it "dries" out. Thankfully it does not cause the vehicle to produce clouds of black smoke or hold up other vehicles in traffic. As I said, I love diesel. :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

PS: On the petrol side - there was a shortage thereof in Brooklyn a few days ago when I refuelled on the way to work.
