We just had a long weekend, and my family and I went to the Musandum peninsula, which has many barren mountains and fjord type coves. Since I have only bought the patrol in Feb this year, I still am collecting my pictures....but I leave you with these....thank you for the warm welcome and good tip on the Afrikaans translation.

Hi Siddharth, I am coming up to Dubai at the begining of November, are there any Patrol goodies that you can get up there that we can't get down here, looking at your jerry can carrier on the back door ect. I envy you for the sand and the wide open spaces but not the heat and humidity up your part of the world (I always try to come up in your winter!!)

Most of our goodies are imported, very few things that are made locally. Increasing fuel capacity is a must, especially the 4.8! So the jerry can holder can be bought from many 4WD shops that cater to the Nissan/Toyota drivers, stay away from the Expat LR/Jeep locations, as they are all importing Aus/US/SA products and marking up by 40%.

4by4wheel, brings mostly Thai/Chinese made shocks/springs , also lots of LED lights, all Chinese/Taiwan made. He sells the jerry can holder, without jerry can, but I am sure you can get those back in SA by truckload. The holder requires drilling into the back trip and door. If he does not have stock, then ask for directions to walk towards car accessory shops near the Hyatt Regency hotel, and many shops with accessories are available.

What other goodies are you looking at getting,

4b4wheel shop location, taken from Google Earth, I can not upload the KMZ file on this site.

They used to have a website, but it does not seem to work anymore, you can send him an email for a catalogue by email if you like. I also got my bash plate from him.

ffour_wheel[at]hotmail[dot]com

The jerry can is not very thick gauge metal, and they have skimped on the welding, metal gauge, paint etc etc.....but the price is low enough to justify buying 1 every 5 years.
