Planning for the Nam trip end May '12 is comming along nicely...
As things go... you get to sections that requires more fuel than what your car's on board tanks were designed for...
Or the filling points are so far apart, you have to start thinking out of the box (tank?)...
Anyways...
I planned as follows towing the Explorer:
Long runs tar (2 wheel drive) - 4.5km/l or 22l/100km
Good gravel and back roads (4H) - 4km/l or 25l/100km
River beds, hard & soft tracks (4H, 60% / 4L, 40%) - 3km/l or 33l/100km
Will I get stuck somewhere? (without fuel... not in the sand or mountains dummy
