Trip to Namaqua National Park

Post by Mauro »

Hi, My name is Mauro and I need some advice on the road condition bertween Groen River and Hondeklip Baai where the campsites are situated. I will be camping at the Kwass se Baai campsite at the end of August next year.
I will drive a Patrol 4.5 Petrol towing a "4x4" caravan (1600 kg GVM). As far as I know there are deep sand streches. Anybody has experience about it?
Thank you.

Welcome Mauro. My dad drove it a couple of years ago. 2.7 Hilux with a heavy camper body.

He came across the stuck fortuners, one with a caravan, and managed to tow them both through after getting them to deflate.

If you deflate properly, you should be ok?
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Thanks Peter for the advice. The problem is that usually I deflate when it is too late but on this occasion I will try to remember it at the right time.
Mauro.
