Cunnene River Birding Trip, Feb/March 2018

Hi, we are planning a birding trip in norther Nambia on the cunnene river.
who has done this trip, and can advise on routes and road and conditions
who is a twitcher who can advise on the birds, the champagne this the angola that the souza whatever?
trip 2.5 to 3.5 weeks, from South Africa

I did a portion of that trip in April. In March the plus is that it is green:) Lots of young animals and a big change from the half dead dry season animals that look like they want to die.
Birding is good... Cunene is HOT that time of year. In April I will sleeping under wet towels. Get a tent or something with very good ventilation... bug make it impossible to sleep in the open and tents very stuffy very quickly.
It is rainy season and flash floods are common. Access roads may be washed away so budget for long detours or plan roads that don't follow rivers.

I highly recommend Camp Syncro in the Marienfluss Valley.

I still want to go to the Hartman Valley.
