Really stupid question on a Patrol forum. It's a Patrol so it does anything. :mytwocents: :mytwocents:

Unless you have some of your Ford and Toyota mates with you..... Then it's 6 days :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

Ask Oom Mac.... I think he has done that road the most recently of all of us..... I last did it 14 years ago in a Sani but wild camped on the way as there was no hurry....

We drove in April 2014 from Elephants Sands to Padamatenga in a group of 10 VW Kombies.
That was about 1/2 the distance to Kasane.
It was dry.
Mud was no issue. (crossing a few small mud pools ...no issue)
The going was actually "reasonably fast" considering that it was a fairly large group.
One lunch break and two minor breakdown caused by stick penetrating cooling pipes etc.
All in all perhaps 2 hours stationary.
Traveling time from 7:00 am to 4:30pm = 9.5 hours - 2 hours = 7.5 hours driving time.

I would recon that one would reasonably need twice the time to Kasane in dry conditions.
In wet condition ....... different ball-game
:salute:

In August? Yes you can. It is dry then.
Bietjie van 'n "waste" om nie by KAZUMA Pan te oornag nie mar jy sal weet hoekom jy dit in een dag te doen..
Hoekom Elephan Sands? Ken jy vir Ben ?
