I know its late to plan something like this but I been wondering what to do next weekend - and Lesotho has tweaked my interest as its relatively close and has some awesome possibilities for a quick trip. Problem is, I dont know the trails and options. I been to Semonkong a couple years back, but that was direct by road with no offroad trail driving. I have not been to Katse dam and that would be a something to see along the trip.
Can anyone recommend a route to cover over 5 approx days, right now its only me and the wife, but I am sure that over a long weekend it would not be too much of a problem to go as a single vehicle as there will be plenty other 4x4's out there...

Re: Quick Lesotho
Hi Chris
You may want to talk to Vaughn Ashford from the Nissan offroad club.
He arranged the Nissan club's Lesotho excursions for 2011, 2012 and 2013.
These were however mostly in the northern parts, included Katse dam, Afriski, Didibeng (at Foursieburg) and Sani pass, There isn't one this year
You can pm me for his number.

Re: Quick Lesotho
Chris.... go go go..... you will love Lesotho..... BUT......traveling alone in Lesotho, especially in the colder months where snow can become a possibility, you MUST be prepared for the worst conditions. There was an incident 2 years back where there were a lot of people snowed in or stuck or slid off the road due to ice!!!
