Rawsonville: Sneeukoppie Route

Hi All

We spent our 2010 father-kid kamp at Watergat near Rawsonville.

Watergat Positives:
You can book the whole site for you and your friends.
'Dam' to go fishing.
Wood supplied.
Big porta pool - kids loved.
Farmer put up big army tent kuiering
We hired a water slide for the Sat.
1 hour from Cape Town

Watergat Negatives:
Very basic
Need to watch small kids near the 'watergat' - muddy and steep embankment
Only 2 toilets/showers

Sneeukoppie Route

Just down the road. Route is only about 5kms. Same route in and out. Can do it in about 3 hours.
Lovely views and fynbos.
Braai spot on the mountain. Great pool nearby for after trip dip.
Rating about 3 - there are 2 steep sections with loose rock - the rest very easy. High range only 4x4s will struggle a little on the 2 steep parts.
