De Wildt 14-11-2010... I did it!!!

Post by Margo »

Hey Guys! So I finally did it. I went to De Wildt (Oom, I didnt know that, that was the trail I was going to, I was just taken there, sorry I didnt let you know)....

So, I did most of the obstacles.... And yes, I am admitting it here... I screamed like a girl (and i do that very well, because i am a girl) JUST ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe :rolling: So giving myself a

I had many people actually stop and stare at the Patrol doing its thing and also a young female driver behind the wheel, I even got a round of applause!!!!!!!!! :)

But and here is the BIG BUTT.... I let my friend who was driving the Nissan Xtrail, take my patrol through the mud pit and play in there for a while.. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE... He got my patrol STUCK and landed up hooking the back left bumper on a rock or something and yeah... the pics will show the damage :( Im so sad right now, my gorgeous gloria has a eina... Ive taped it all back together with boxing tape so i can at least indicate and drive until I replace the unit and bumper.

I will post some really awesome pictures later, when i receive them, of the obstacles I did :)

But here are the sad ones in the mean time (always save the best till last :p )

Eish Margo, thats not cool, not cool at all. Very impressed you did the trail without any problems yourself though. Don;t beat yourself up about that bumper and tail light, thats just 4wd'ing i guess, however,in my opinion, 4wd's are like camera equipment, i just don't let people use them unless they know more about it than i do, so needless to say , my city slicker friends never get to drive my truck or touch my lenses, however, my friends from home (transkei farmers/trading stores),they get to play with all the toys. hahaha. As i write this though i realise that people have to start somewhere, so maybe i should be a little more lenient in future.

Just clean it out nicely and you should be able to put the light back. That is why I do not like to play in mud - it is not good for your vehicle :oldtimer:

Well done Margo! Unfortunately every good lesson comes a price-tag. This tag was very small. This lines you up very well for the OME suspension and replacement bumper, front and rear!!!
