DIY Mudflaps
Posted: 25 Feb 2016 16:44
My left back mudflap was in a sorry state, so decided to make new back mudflaps for my car. Mammoth offered me his, but I just could not get these from him to me.
These are the original flaps and non-flap.
I bought 6mm rubber from a company Automotive Rubbers in Bloemfontein. I traced the original mudflap on the rubber and using a knife I cut the new flaps from the rubber.
I had a water jet cutting supplier that owed me a favor, so he cut some logos for me that I could place on the flaps. This is part of my company logo. You can also see the pattern of the flap in the following photo.
And here is the end result.
