DIY Mudflaps

My left back mudflap was in a sorry state, so decided to make new back mudflaps for my car. Mammoth offered me his, but I just could not get these from him to me.

These are the original flaps and non-flap. :biggrin:

I bought 6mm rubber from a company Automotive Rubbers in Bloemfontein. I traced the original mudflap on the rubber and using a knife I cut the new flaps from the rubber.

I had a water jet cutting supplier that owed me a favor, so he cut some logos for me that I could place on the flaps. This is part of my company logo. You can also see the pattern of the flap in the following photo.

Marinus - Ooompie laaikx hirri sommer baaija ./. Knap gedaan [wens ek kon sulke op die Prado ook sit maar sy hoeke werk nie uit nie]

Wat Oompie net wil byvoeg tov joune op die Patrol .. as jy in klipperige dele of teen 'n helling agteruit ry gaan daai flappe onder die wiel ingetrek word. Maak n kabeltjie waarmee jy dit kan optrek wanneer jy "Off road" oftewel 4x4..

Sommer net voorstel [ek het AL my Hard Bodies se flappe so af ge "reverse" :confused: :redface: :rolleyes: :lol: :oldtimer: :oldtimer:

Errol, ek het nog nie, maar ek het darem al n stuk conveyor gekry by Tinus.

Eks op die stadium nog bietjie besig met n stukende Patrol en n paar ander takies wat ook nog wag vir my, maar hopelik voor die Rust de Winter naweek sal ek n stel he :thumbup:
