Rob Again
After Browsing thru the posts on DIY Awning, and looking at what people have managed to create. I thought why not give it a bash... so after combining some ideas of different people. I thought about what I would want out of an Awning and decided on the following....hahaha..... I needed shade.... hahaha No poles going to the ground for my 6 year on to trip over!!! I want covering going to the side of my Patrol but also the rear. then I thought why not the front to.. this way I will protect the dash board of my Patrol in Nam and those hot places.
So I did a sketch and again off I Went, to start building the Awning.... so far all is going well I am at this point, just building a box to house the Awning.... I am just waiting to finish the Fender Flares so that I can mount my new DIY roof rack and awning to see how it all is going to look..... but in the mean time I placed it on the back of my Nissan bakkie, with the side of the awning facing the back of the Buck... so you guys can get a look....
I would like any ideas on a home for my awning as I am battling with the box idea, but don't really wanna put it in a bag.... but it looks like at this point, I might have to end up with a bag as a housing...
but here are some puictures

Thanks for sharing, I still have to sort an awning out. Will give the box some thought.
