This is probably bad advertising - I am pretty sure this unit also takes 12v... so does not need an inverter. If no 12v, it will run with an inverter yes at 220v.

I think ithis is a 220v only freezer, I alost baught one a while back when I thought it must be 12v and 220v. I did closer investigation and found on the Snowmaster website that they actually make some 220v only

Ok, if that's the case then I would recommend getting 12v/220 model if you want to use it for your vehicle!
This for a number of reasons, not least that a good inverter will set you back more than the delta in cost for the 12v fridge and that the inverter also has a power consumption aspect, which you don't need! :oldtimer:

Jip. Agree with Chris. A proper Overland or 4x4 fridge is designed spesifically for this task. The great once have a danfoss compressor that can run at any agle. Has one moving part to ensure better reliability. And use very little amps. Normal caravan fridges needs to be level to operate. And they are very heavy on power. So thats mainly why you pay the same money for a small 40liter fridge than you payed for your fancy 460litre kitchen fridge. :mytwocents:
