Moment of madness
So, for years we've had a 32L Engel. But it's never been quite big enough and the lack of a separate freezer has always been a problem on long trips. So I'm at 4x4 Megaworld collecting shocks and I eye out the Engel 60L. Take it outside. Fills the slide side to side but doesn't take up more effective space than the 32l, which doesn't quite fill the slide (you can't really practically use the edges of the slide anyway). Lekka. Then they show me the 60L combi. Even better but um, ja the freezer part looks a bit naff (but in reality is probably just about right). So I have a rush of the proverbial to the head and buy the 80L combi digital - same dimensions as the 60L, just taller. I can now tell you definitively that its absolutely the biggest fridge you can possibly fit on an African Outback fridge slide and still get the door closed...Only, only just! The thing is that neither the wife nor I are terribly tall (average, both) and so peering into the thing is um, well, ja, you're either on your toes or the back step!
Ai! Anyway, at least I'm not short of fridge space now. I still need to figure out how to secure the flipping thing though!

Re: Moment of madness
Yes, that height problem was why i never mounted my 90lt NL on top of a drawer system.
Mine is mounted on a slide that was fixed at floor level, leaving shelf space op top of the freezer.

Re: Moment of madness
Mike, this one just, just fits into the vehicle. We can see well enough to get stuff in and out but yes, its not ideal. But like so many things, a compromise. Maybe one day I'll fit a drop slide.
