Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hello guys

Has anyone bought / played around with a ScanGauge II? I know the older model is not compatible but I have seen it more and more on the Toyota 4x4's.

Looks to be around R 2500 with shipping.

I would like to know if it'll see our 2004 4.8 models???

I sent them an email, but no response as yet...

Thanks JP, I have checked on the Aussie patrol forum and it looks to be a bit of an issue with 4.8 patrols. Check this compatibility list:

It says not compatible for Y61 models. Hopefully they have come up with a solution, hope they reply to you!

Any one using a modern Scanguage on a 4.8 GRX?

The website only states : compatible with Nissan Patrol 2007 Onwards

I use "Car diagnostics Pro" on my Phone connected to a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle plugged into a 2004 4.8GRX pre face-lift

Thanks. What info are you getting back from the ECU? The OBD2 scanner i bought from ebay did not work on the Patrol or my Polo - it was a cheap unit, so I think the unit is crap.

Got a reply from scanguage, so I'm thinking about going that route

I can see items such as coolant temp, timing, battery voltage and lots more. I can adjust timing, idling and read/ reset fault codes.
