Patrol Rear Steel Bumper
Hi Guys,
Seeing that my ZD30 shows no sign of self-detonation, I decided to add some more weight. Just kidding...
However, my wife has the ability to load the vehicle so full of seemingly insignificant fair that for even just a weekend trip I can barely fit myself into the front seat.
I have bought an extra sparewheel and I'm looking for a steelbumper with a left-swingarm that can carry the extra tire, a spade and a hi-lift jack. Jacking points would also be nice. If it could carry a braai grill that would be first class as well.
I am hoping someone here has a similiar rig / set-up with a foto. I know LA Sport makes a mean looking LAS Pro bumper for the LC76 with these specs on. I don't want to misplace or move the location of the standard sparewheel. Once again, any advice would be fantastic.
As for rocksliders, while I'm at it, which ones are affordable? I don't want them, I need them for the jacking points. I almost got crushed a year ago when the Patrol slipped of its stupid standard bottle neck. I am determined never to get under it again. Hi-lift all the way, so I just need jacking points, hence the sliders.
Thanks Gents!

Hi Tinus. Die BZT lyk puik. En nie te duur nie. Ek sien summit 4x4 versprei hulle.

Re: Patrol Rear Steel Bumper
David M got a BZT rear bumper, very nice.
Johan, het jou voorste bumper nie hi-lift jacking punte nie?
Gewoonlik het replacement bumpers, dan is dit nie nodig vir rock sliders nie (dis nou indien jy rocksliders net vir jacking punte wil aan skaf)..

Re: Patrol Rear Steel Bumper
Hi SJC,
Ongelukkig het my OL steelbumper vir een of ander rede nie jacking points nie. Weet nie hoekom nie want dis nie 'n alloy bumper nie.

Re: Patrol Rear Steel Bumper
Tinus will tell you no need for a 2nd spare if you get TPMS and since having it I agree.
I will be putting a 2nd swingarm on to carry 60 l fuel and my recovery tracks and spade. The Hilift and a working light will go behind the existing spare.
You can then make a bracket to go on the rear door where the spare wheel used to be and use it for gas bottle/s or recovery equipment or whatever.
There are still places out there!!!! - Daniel Goz - The "Tapam" movie
