Roof rack for Patrolie 2001 model

Has anyone build it before or can help me with measurements/guides on how to measure and more important the fittings, what sort should I use and where can I buy them or how would I make them.

Ek het een gebou voordat ons laas jaar Botswana toe is.

Hy is 1,5 meter lank en omtrent 1,4 meter breed - ek wou nie hom oor die sunroof laat gaan nie.

Ek kan 'n rally canopy agter of langs die kant opsit asook 'n stort.

Ek will ook nie he myne moet oor die sondak gaan nie , ek sal wegspring met die 1.4 x 1.5 dit lyk goed , Die "Bracket" op die kant het jy hulle ook gemaak of het jy iewers gekoop ek kan nie mooi op die foto sien nie maar dit lyk na 'n baie stewige "bracket" , dan lyk my hy het 'n 50mm hoe raam om ?

Die brackets kom van 'n ander gekoopte roofrack af en ek het 25x25 tubing gebruik.

My ondervinding met n square tubing dakrak is die vlge waar die stutte aan dit vas geswys word. Hierdie dakrak is al deur Kaoko,Damara land , Kalahari, Zim en Moz.
Skippie dit is die sterkste manier, al nadeel is n sq tubing dak rak is swaar.
Let op die vlge.
Die voet van die stut is breed 150mm min vir gewig verspreiding op die gutter.
Die gebuigde of gevormde plaat en die stut het n gat regdeur, jy gebruik n rondte spike of selfs n ster skroewedraaier wat jy daar indruk om die bracket op en af te wedge en dan bout jy vas
Onder die stut of aan die binnekant is n hoeksteunstut(gusset in Eng.) wat dit versterk. Maak gebruik van gussets .
Jy kan jou stutte ook so verleng dat jy onder jou rak, n plek maak om n tafel in te skuif en soos Herrie n stort cubicle te maak wat uitskuif met tubing binne-in tubing.Die idee is in wyle Jan Joubert se boek(gids in Namibie) oor 4x4, n baie goeie boek, veral oor kamp die menslike element!

Agarob het ek nou gekry met sy vollenget dakrak - dit lyk soo sAfrican Outback .. my kopkrap is nou net HIOE maak ek die goeters vas bo op di edakrak? "wind cheetah" het gleuwe op die platformstroke waar mens ringe kan ingly en skuif tot waar jy dit nodig het en dan vasdraai .. daai ringe is tiekie 'n bossie by Builders Warehouse ... nou sit ek met 'n Afr Outback - en ek soek idees hoe om daar ogies te laat werk vir my [sonder om A Ob oorhoeks te verryk]

Skippie, natuurlik, dit het ek weer gesteel destyds by JAN SMIT STAAL CANOPIES. Daardie manier van hegting bly die beste.
Onthou die gussets , dit help om vibrasie teen te werk.
Lekker sweis
NS. laat dit altyd galvaniseer wanneer klaar voltooi is.Roes slaap nie !

n "web" of support om n hoek waar 2 ysters bymekaarkom te versterk,met n dwars yster.Of om twist uit n lang stuk materiaal te haal.(versterking).
