Hi Peter,

I fitted my bashplate and it is a great fit!!

I realised soon that there was a big gap between the bashplate and the front ARB bumper, so I made a plan. I got some mesh from Thinus and made a cover to cover the gap. (See pic attached) It will now protect my radiator from branches ext.

I painted the bashplate with hammeright paint, hope it will last.

Thanks again for a great job. I will fit the recovery points once it is finish.

Wilfred

Fitting instructions for Y61 with engines other than 4.8:
1) Remove plastick cover/wind deflector in front of steering arms. Keep the bolts.
2) There should be four holes in the bottom of each chassis leg in front of the steering arms. Moving forward from the axle there should be two holes tapped M8 (used to secure the cover mentioned in step 1), and two larger holes used in the newer cars to attach the recovery hook. If the recovery hook is present, remove it and keep both the hook and the bolts. Source high-tensile (Grade 8.8 minimum) bolts for all 8 these holes.
3) Bolt on bash plate. If you have the two-bolt recovery hook, fit it as well. The bash plate sandwhiches between the chassis and the recovery hook.
