Pretty clever how he uses the compressor to pump the new oil into the diffs!

I use one of those Gardena 5L pumps that you use around the house to keep the pests at bay. I just took off the sprey thing in front and now use it to fill gearboxes and diffs......works very nice!

Reviving this thread!

I actually have spoken with Alex, who does the Backyard Mechanic videos, a few times, and he actually helped me start the Southern Africa 4x4 channel. I've always found it easier to watch a video while using a manual than relying on the manual alone.

Who is willing to photo/video some repairs and installations so that we can upload them for others? I am keen to start, although mine will be very basic stuff, but the more we have, the more we can help those in need (which include me  )

Shap! That sounds like a good start Michael. Thanks man. We can upload the vid's to the YouTube SA4x4 channel or we create a new channel for this thread. (ie Nissan Patrol SA channel)

I regret not filming the service and bearings I recently did, as it would have shown everyone what not to do... but the more we know, the more we benefit from. If anyone has more ideas, let me know.
