ZD30 cheap rebuild met fotos

Hi almal.
Ek is in die proses on my 2002 Patrol 3.0 Di GRX Auto (kan in My Patrol gesien word) se motor oor the doen. Ek beplan on dit so goedkoop moontlik te doen en gaan foto's post soos ek aangaan.
So net vir bietjie agtergrond.
Blowby. So uit met die injectors om n kompressie toets te doen en ons vind no 1 is amper nil.
So af met die head en sowaar. No 1 cylinder get n probleem.
Image
So vandag was enjin uit.

Image
Dit is no 1 piston.

Deel asb julle gedagtes oor wat julle dink met my Patrol gebeur get.
Dankie

Paul

:mytwocents:

Ek sou daai injectors toets as dit my engine was.

Hou ons asb op hoogte

Ek stem met Micheal.
Hoe lyk jou air intake port? Is hy nog oop. Kon daar genoeg lug (boost ) by no.1 inkom.

Yeah... I can only think that its an overfueling problem, and because its only on no1 cylinder it can only be air being blocked or restricted causing a mixture too rich and therefore intense heat, or the injector failing and dumping excess diesel, again making a rich mix and therefore high heat temps.

Just thinking ..... could a sticky valve ( probably intake ) be a cause of not getting sufficient air into the cylinder. I don't know these electronic injectors but I would assume a faulty injector would stop dumping fuel if not working, not dump excessive fuel in the cylinder. So to me, I'm thinking that no1 cylinder was being starved of air more than being over fueled...... Your thoughts??

Usually when the injector fails on a common rail it over fuels allot. On the old school injectors its not always the case, but it sure looks like over fueling to me
