Ok.... so, some feedback on how I have found the Bio Diesel in my Iron Maiden so far...
1) First start in the morning in current cold weather temps ( 8-12degC ). Starts easy enough, but there is more un-burnt diesel smoke for the initial puff as it idles "rough" for about 1-2 seconds till all 6 cylinders are firing. When the temps are warmer there is none of the above issues. So in conclusion, it's purely a deg C thing.
2) I think there is less ( Iron Maiden style ) black smoke on fast pull-aways and flat foot acceleration. Keep in mind that my injector pump is set to deliver fuel at low rpm too, so the black smoke is not unexpected on my setup.
3) Power seems to be a little better. I can feel a bit more of a pull when the boost kicks in. It may be my imagination, but it is definitively NOT less powerful.
4) On a long uphill, and general driving, it seems that my EGT's are a little lower. It's difficult to be 100% accurate, but I would guess 5 - 10 degC less. ( further testing will be needed )
5) Fuel consumption, I cannot tell you, as I have been driving it hard and not really worrying about that currently. In fact I care less about the consumption at the price we are paying, but it seems to be pretty much the same.
