1 & 2: I have been on bad roads, but not lost a sender yet, nor stolen yet.Tinus lotz wrote:I have had internal and external ones and would not spend money on external ones again .pro and cons are:
1) my externals got stolen 2 times
2) lost a sender on bad roads 2times
3) cannot see the pressure inside car when deflating tires oor pumping wheels
4) dont want to get out allen keys every time i change wheel pressure
5) had a hassle with vale leaking from the cap be course it kept the valve open to read pressure
I have had the internal ones on my 4.8 and my old hilux now on my 4.2bakkie for about 3 years or more and no problems at all .
If you look at the one for R1500 it is priced very good .
For 2 grand you get a colour monitor and reverse camera with parking sensors......not bad at all
I know of makes that do not lock and I can understand that such versions can get stolen easily.
Items 3 and 4 have in my experience been minor, but that is what you weigh up against the cons of internal units.
5: I have not had any valves leaking. But this I think is a matter of quality of the particular brand/unit.
But for 2k to include the reverse camera is a a very good deal...
