Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me what the engine output is in KWand NM for the 4500GRX, I have tried to find it but cant seem to get an answer, please assist. Iam on the verge of buying a 4500GRX and I have heard some guys say that you may aswell go for the 4800 GRX for better power and same fuel consumption, is this true?
Thanks

Re: Engine KW output
Some say once you go 4.8, you won't go back to 4.5 again.
4.8 has same or similar fuel consumptions.
However, it also seems that the later 4.8 models are lighter on fuel. Or rather, the ECU seem to respond to someone driving with a lighter foot.
The computer is more clever, but not sure if that is the reason.

Re: Engine KW output
The 4.5 is supposed to deliver around 164Kw, the 4.8 around 200. And they do give similar fuel consumption.
Ont the other hand, you can get a 4.5 for around R80k, while 4.8's are almost double that.
If you can afford a 4.8, it's the one to go for, but there's nothing wrong with a 4.5 at half the price.
