Daai CX Patrol was inni Ooskaap beskikbaar vir R80 k .. [ek herken hom want hy is dieselle snaaxe groen as Jorrie se Diepseeduiker ]

:mytwocents: :mytwocents:

They all lie. most likely more than six months. So what, means he will be more willing to accept a reduced offer.
SkolliePatrollie wrote:2. The vehicle was very dirty, but does look to have been well maintained (battery was dead and dust came out of the vents when starting it)
Deduct price of new battery and alternator - the latter may be the cause? - from purchase price.
SkolliePatrollie wrote:3. (This is my biggest concern) the vehicle has a full service history, however the last service was done on 189 000km - in 2010!!
Dealers never update the data from the first placement of the ad. Been used for weekend stuff, trips to Moz etc. ± R4500 km per moth for six months. It has not been serviced for 25 000km. Maybe problems maybe not. Keep R20 000 from purchase price in savings account for engine averhaul.
SkolliePatrollie wrote:4. The clutch has a bit of a 'ticking' noise when depressed, possibly a bearing?
Just keep in mind R7 500 odd for replacement.
SkolliePatrollie wrote:5. Some minor seepage on the diff pumpkins and transfer case, but no leaks.
Problem, not common for Patrols. Indicative of abuse or poor repair work.
SkolliePatrollie wrote:6. Some minor surface rust underneath the vehicle, can be rubbed off with a finger, so possibly just an ocean vehicle?
Pfff, and?

Don't walk away from a bargain, as long as you pay fair price. Offer R75 000. Not a cent more. Rock up with the cash, then they usually sell it.

Missed this somehow.

If it is just sweating from the filler/drain plugs, it could be shoddy maintenance or blocked breather.

However, check it carefully as it could possibly indicate a cracked diff casing.
