Winch Cradle
Does anyone make a GU (4.8 GRX) compatible winch cradle locally for fitment with the standard bumper? See here for an example:

I fitted my winch on the new patrollie just before the holidays
I used the one that comes with the iron man bar . it bolts between the two points in front I am sure it will work ???
mabe we need to measure the two next to each other ???

Re: Winch Cradle
Tinus, I'm not sure at all. Maybe there's a bush/bull bar that I should fit but if I'm going to stay with the standard bumper I probably need to find a cradle solution before buying a winch. (?)

Re: Winch Cradle
Clem, I had a look at the one Tinus fitted, and I am sure it (or something very like it) will also work witht the standard bumper.
If you don't find one, let me know, i am sure we can make a plan.

Re: Winch Cradle
Thank you Peter. I will ping you in due course (which in my case can be anything from months to years) if I don't come right.

Re: Winch Cradle
Hi Peter, sorry to read about your Patrol, what happened? If you do decide to build that cradle for Clem, please can you put my name down as well for my 4.8. Thanks Ian

Re: Winch Cradle
Ian, I had some sort of issue with the needle and seat not closing, causing massive flooding of the engine, to the extent that the engine had a hydraulic lock.
So I took out the spark plugs and cranked the engine to clear the cylinders, never even thinking to unplug the coil's high tension lead. The result was that the spark in the plug leads caused the fuel being pumped out to ignite.
I will keep you in mind, would there be any other takers?

Re: Winch Cradle
No Kobus.
I have a fuel pressure regulator fitted, and have checked that the fneedle and seat seals properly.
