I guess the 5.0 on ATs was the average over a long period .

How many fillings since you have the MTs on ?

I just know that consumption on a Patrol can vary significantly depending of the kind of driving i.e highway, town or mixed cycle.

The fuel brand might also make a small difference.
Same garage. Same brand. Fuel storage tanks at garage less than 1 year old. - Useful having a mate who owns a garage when you have a 4.5.

The 5 is not an average but an exact figure that never varies by more than .2 km/l other than when doing a couple of days in low range and even then by less than 1 km/l.

Thought it had been under fulled and told the attendant she was 12 l short. Then checked myself and it overflowed so definetly not short fuelled.

Changed from AT's to Muds - both 285 X 75 X 16 - and fuel consumption drops by exactly 10% ???????????

And due to the tread difference there is another 4% difference.............. WTF
What tyres did you have on, what dit you replace them with (brand/manufacturer)?
Had Kumho A/T's on.

Replaced with Cooper STT Pro's. - So far the quietest MT's I have heard but have not been over 110 km/h yet.

Tar grip - So far very impressed but let's see once we get some rain.

Dirt roads - In a different league to anything else I have ever used. Braking, cornering and straight line stability unbelievable.

Will get to test offroad at Rust de Winter and hoping for a downpour before then.

Pressures are exactly the same. Have not changed the settings on the TPMS. Maybe because of the more rigid tyre walls there is less on the road.
