Re: 35" tyres on a GU
That is my worry... I can still fix the problem with an angle grinder on the hangover bits, but the section between the wheels must stay as is. I can also still afford to lengthen my wheelbase if needs be. But would like to be planning these things now already.... So if anybody has an old 35 tyre, or two, laying around, please let me know.

Re: 35" tyres on a GU
I am considering 35" tekkies on my 4.8 (2004 pre-facelift).

Re: 35" tyres on a GU

I run 33's and 35's on my Patrol GU pickup and they fit no problems with 2" front lift, 3" rear lift.

Re: 35" tyres on a GU
Standard Nissan Patrol 16inch Steelies as per the day it left the factory. No wheel spacers and diffs slightly off center to the right due to the lift (2" TJM - can't find the part numbers for the springs right now). Catches the front mudflaps when turning, remove mudflaps then no problem. Only happens when tires are new - take 3/4 mm off the tread and no problem. Add another inch (ie.a as in 35") and will not just catch them but rip them off. Patrol already has a horrible turning circle , adjusting the limit screw would increase it even more .
Use it don't use it.
