Muds are overrated. A/T does a fine job. I have driven all my other vehicles [prior to iNyathi] except the Prado; on A/T tires.
Most of them were Bridgestone Duellers. Never a problem, I drove the same mud and rocks and stones and sand as teh rest of the Club and Patrol group - Kaokoveld with the Hard body [Boezman] on the Duellers, including Van Zyls Pass [towing an Oryx Caravan]
I now have the latest Genaral Grabber M/T "X3" on iNyathi. First trip and a hole in the sidewall ..
Would I buy M/T again? NO .. I will go back to All Terrains. Better roadholding. As good as M/T offraod [I seldom if ever drive mud [like Hunters Road] and even Hunters Road I did with BRUTUS on 265/75/16 Dueller A/T's

Rotation? It becomes personal choice.

I came to the realisation that I bought the Patrol because I followed my heart, not because I am a sensible person. I'm a child with money. The logical conclusion is that I have to get MT.

MT's overrated - How much mud is there in SA ???- rather opt for AT's. Safety priority and you can hear each other.

I would dare to say MT are better in sand and on gravel than AT and would love to be proven otherwise
Obviously AT is better on wet and dry tar an softer on the ears.
I think on rock it will be quite even.
MT looks WAY cooler than AT and really to be honest its an offroad vehicle.....who cares about road noise

:oldtimer:
(Maar indien mens nou in n droe woestyn omgewing woonagtig is, of op die hoof paaie bly, of altyd n mater byderhand het om mens te recover, is dit seker nie so belangrik nie....) :mytwocents:
