Definitely not. The D673s are still in the market here in Brits alongside the D674s. I opted for the D674s as a result of some reviews I read. And I will post on EOL report on mine when mine are done in about 12months or so.... Will be interesting to see the difference.Peter Connan wrote:In which case that makes this hole report kinda irrelevant. I apologise...

Re: End-of-life report - Bridgestone M/T
Thanks. That is the model. Was not sure if the were replaced or just brought out a secobd model. The 673s were still available when I put on my 674s. Perhaps the 673s were simply old stock.... Will chat with my tyre man when I have a chance and hear what they say.ChristoSlang wrote:Peter, we have the earlier D673 M/T on our Patrols. Re: End-of-life report - Bridgestone M/T (D673)
Maybe Peter will go for the Kumho KL71's ....hahahaha. It would be a VERY interesting report at the end of the Kumho's to compare the 2 tyres. They are so different in so many ways, from rubber composition to tread to .... well basically everything. That would give a very interesting and accurate review as Peter drives his Patrol in all terrains (overland, trails, highway)

From what I gather the D673's are still available, but only in sizes: 32/11.5r15 & 33/12.5r15.iandvl wrote:Thanks. That is the model. Re: End-of-life report - Bridgestone M/T (D673)
That's the million-dollar question, which even I can't answer yet.Anthony Forgey wrote:Not at all Peter.Peter Connan wrote:In which case that makes this hole report kinda irrelevant. I apologise...
now the question is, what will you be getting to replace them?
What i will say is this: I am going up to 16" wheels.
I want to go back up to 33" diameter, but I don't want 12.5" width. In theory, one can get 33x10.5x15"s, which i think may be the ideal size for general usage, but it doesn't seem like anybody stocks them locally.
I am hoping that by going up to 16"wheels, i will be using more common sizes, thus less risk of losing half the tire's life. And therefore, i have bought a set of rims and tires from Tommie. So for a while, i will be running on whatever tires those are.
Cedric, i would not be averse to trying KL71's, assuming i can get them at a price that makes sense in R/km terms.

Peter, give me a shout when the time comes, I can get a price from the dude who works for Kumho Head Office. He has always looked after me well. then one can pick and choose. Variety is the spice of life....

Re: End-of-life report - Bridgestone M/T (D673)
So I saw these tyres at ATT yesterday, never heard of them (Landvigator I think)
They salesman mentioned that they're being fitted to South Africa 4x4 Rental vehicles, and so far good results. I didn't take a picture of the A/T's unfortunately.

Re: End-of-life report - Bridgestone M/T (D673)
I see alot of these Mudstar tyres from Nankang. Here on the desert tour vehicles as well as rental 4x4's. I had them on my 3.0 as well. I was happy with them.
Being alive is a Blessing!!

Just a followup on the Lanvigator tires - any feedback from anyone using them?
Just wondering how thick the sidewalls are.
