Waffer rims?

I think you may be able to use the 15" rims.... BUT just check and double check that the rims seat themselves 100% onto the hubs. The Patrol hub has a small radius where the center hole of the rim sits on. I do stand corrected on this and it may only be an issue on the mag rims and not on the steel rims. I know on the mag rims one can machine a small radius on the rim to allow it to fit properly. I don't know of anyone up your side of the world that has a TD42 to allow you to swap a front wheel quickly to double check.

Cedric, the centre hole on the Patrol rim is larger than that of the Toyota and I don't think a steel rim can be machined to enlarge the centre hole.

I know that to fit 15 inch wheels you need a sertain ofset the general grabbers muddies are dirt cheap and gives nive floatation for dirt and sand Michael will know as he did the exercise

Steelies can be machined.

You just need to check brake clearance (should be ok) and offset.

Good morning Folks, I really hope you are doing well on this long weekend and seriously jealous of the guys on the Duine Trip

I am contemplating narrower wheels for the Mrs' Patrol. Not immediately but when the time comes. Reasons are quite easy: fuel consumption, efficiency on the Kalahari roads, road noise etc. I really think we have more to gain from narrower tyres.

The current tires are Windforce 285/75/16's and I would like to move to 265/75/16 or even 235/85/16 or something similar. The wide tyres are good, yes, but expensive to replace and not necessary for our purposes.

I would need to get other rims because the current rims are 10J and narrower tyres simply don't fit that well on them, at least according to the local experience.

Can you please give me a few pointers on the selection of another set of rims? Where to start / what to look for etc? I would not mind swopping the current set for a narrower set, but simply don't even know where to start.

Doom Jaap -- Die standaard Patrol staal vellings [16" ] is 9j ..
Hoe ver gaan jou huidige bande nog hou?

Patrol wiele se "centre bore" is 110, meeste ander fabrikate is 108.
