Disapointed with my BFG M/T's. This is the second failure on my left rear wheel.

This was while traveling on a gravel road at the vaal this weekend. Anyone else experienced this with a BFG M/T?

We had other cars travelling on the same road on cheap road tyres and they had no problems.

Sorry to see this.

What were your tyre pressures and how much weight did you have on the patrol?

Tyre pressure was 2.7 and very little weight just a 40l fridge and a fishing tackle box.

Hi Paulo

Sorry to see / read about your misfortune......

1. the Tyre appears to be damaged all around; with other words it appears that the visual damage was caused after the tyre was already "flat"..... is it possible that you had a slow puncher which caused the tyre to overheat and burst ?

2. I suggest that you take the tyre to the place were you bought the tyre from or any other tyre place ( selling Michelin & BFG). Request the salespeople to have a Michelin Representative come out and evaluate the tyre and the cause for the damage.

3. pm

:salute:

I run my BFG 285's at 2.3Bar Cold (unloaded) and 2.5Bar Cold(loaded)

I get 100 000km out of a set. i'm on my 3rd set now. Never had a problem , ever. 1 Flat caused by a nail. Plugged it. still going strong. And i work my tyres hard.
