Do you think that would work on the standard GL steel rims? I assume they have some form of coating to prevent rust...
Love the cheap but effective options!

If they are the usual Patrol steel wheels as issued by Nissan on new/old patrols (Silver in colour), then yes, it should work just fine. Follow the steps as posted earlier in this discussion and you will be on your way to perfect black rims.
Ps: I personally have grown to like the black rims with a silver outer ring, so if you so desire, mask off the outer most ring of the rim for a detailed finnish. I wish i had done this. (It doesn;t mean anything, its just a look).
