Re: Madman / Landy on line
Hi Fanus.
The problem you have with oil pressure dropping and setting off the alarm is probably due to incorrect fitment of the sender.
If you take a look you might see that it is leaking, this is because when installed they dont use teflon tape on the threads.
Both bakkies we took for a madman install had this problem. Its an easy fix, just remove it, dismantle it and add tape to all threads.
Cheers.
Dave.

Re: Madman / Landy on line
Another thing, do a quick check that the black wire from the unit attaches to the engine block and not the vehicle chassis. They usually attach the wire to a bolt just above and beside the clutch pedal.
If connected there you will get fluctuating readings when operating lights, ac etc.

Re: Madman / Landy on line
Wat is jou maksimum so ver?

Re: Madman / Landy on line
620 - 630 deg C on the EGT gauge is in my opinion a max figure. Mine is set at 630, but I need to add a little more air to mine to get the temps down a little.
Regards
Cedric

Re: Madman / Landy on line
Yes Cedric I have seen on that dyno day that yours makes a little bit more smoke than mine and mine was already running a bit rich. They fitted a lamda probe to my exhaust so it was measured.ricster wrote:620 - 630 deg C on the EGT gauge is in my opinion a max figure. I think if you could up your boost by 0.1 - 0.2 bar it should be perfect!
Mine is running at 0.95 bar at the moment and I am very happy with the temps and power
