Speedo LED lights

Post by Tjaart »

I've got these on eBay for R100!! :woo: And there are a few LED spare. Remove cover, remove old light bulb, put new light bulb.

Also upgraded the Spot light loom. New, thicker wires. The difference is amazing. It really helps to have decent spotties on your Patrol. But I'm not prepared to pay R5800 for 2 x Lightforce spots. :surprised: . Even the Hella Rallye spots are R6000. on eBay!! I had stronger globes, but the old wiring was thin as fish bones. .

Got the spots on a separate switch. So no other road user blindings while my brights are on. .

Tjaart, your spots certainly are proving their worth! Excellent lights.

Do you not find the instrument panel lights now too bright when driving on an open road at night?

FD

No. The blue lights keep your eyes' "night vision" better in tact than normal globes' lights. If I am to switch on the reading light, it takes longer to regain "night vision" than with the blue lights. The camera shot I took had a little bit of exposure on it, so they do appear a bit brighter, but they're perfect.

As for the spotties, what a joy. Loom upgrade is really worth it!!

Mooi man!

Tjaart, what do we look for when shopping for these on eBay? Any special bulb code you can share with us?
