Re: HELP! Y61 Radio Aerial
Clem. Just pop into your mates at Mark White. Just picked up a new one from them today. R 902 plus VAT. Yours should be the newer cheaper one at about R 700. This is for the aerial only - Not the motor.
Probably just the track of your aerial that broke as you would not be able to move it manually if still attached. You will have to remove the old track before fitting a new one though and that involves removing the inside of the wheel arch.
When you switch on your radio do you hear a slight whirring sound from under the aerial? If so your motor is still fine and you just need to replace the part referred to above.

Re: HELP! Y61 Radio Aerial
Hi Mini, no I think my Patrol (2013) only has a manual and not an electric aerial.

So I went and checked again. Also checked the manual. My car definitely does not have the switch in question and nor is it reflected anywhere in the owner's manual. In the manual it simply refers to a "manually operated" antenna.

Re: HELP! Y61 Radio Aerial
You are probably better off with the manual one as I keep breaking mine off. Actually want to put a bypass switch on mine so that I can lower it completely while going through the bush.

Re: HELP! Y61 Radio Aerial
Hi Clem,
Yes, mine is also a telescopic manual. I thought it was manual beacause of being a 3.0D GL. Not many electronic things. Just windows, aircon and fold in mirrors.
