Funny electrical plug

Post by Izak »

Hello Gents

Maybe I should have PM'ed Frans with this question but maybe I am not the only clueless person on the forum.

At the back of the Patrol, just underneath the rear windows (inside the cab) there is a electrical power point that is covered by a round removable cover that does not even resemble the Hella plug or the other small round one. (Man I feel dumb describing it).

I cannot find any reference to this in the owner manual. If a photo will help to identify, please say the word and I will snap away and post.

Are you not referring to the normal "lighter" plug? (i.e. below left hand rear window)

Definately not standard - must be an aftermarket installation. Post a Photie so we can see what it looks like.

If you are refering to the plug on the left, it's not an electrical plug but as far as I can tell it's a light duty tie point to secure a light object (I have a stretchie cord from that to the hand rail then down to the seat belt opening, that holds my small plastic camping table against the side of the window ) :mytwocents:
