Re: Cruise control
I am interested in doing the same on my 3.0 TDi, but the kits seem to be in the region of R7.5k. I don't know if that is the fitted price. However, at that price I would rather not.....

Re: Cruise control
I have got an aftermarket cruise control installed in my 4.5 auto.
I cant comment on cost and installation as it was installed by the previous owner.
The product installed in my car is "ROSTRA" (USA).
There are also a number of local products which should work in a similar fashion.
I personally feel that it works fantastically in that car (also considering that mine is an auto)
It allows for a very relaxed driving.
Is it worth to spend ~7000 R ? .... In my opinion yes.

Re: Cruise control
Can a nissan CC system be salvaged at a scrapyyard & fitted???
You'd need the steering wheel too, but would it be possible???

Re: Cruise control
I find the one fitted to the 4.8 to be a pain in the butt - the control system is badly programmed and the car hunts severely between the top 3 gears with the slightest uphill, and when accelerating it flies past the set speed then decelerates too quick and to accel again needs to change down again... I wish there was a way to have the control loop improved.

Re: Cruise control
Just phoned my local Guru,
There is apparently just one system, fit for a golf or a merc, and it cost R8,4k fitted.
This is for a Best Tech or something.
I Seriously need to draw some cash, anybody have a balaclava I can borrow quick quick?
