Brake and Calliper Issues

Post by Old-DieHard-Patrol »

Hi Guys

I'm fairly new to this forum and was hoping for some advice:

I have a 1989 MK160 Patrol, 2.8L petrol. From what I can find out, this vehicle was manufactured in Iberica, Spain.

Recently, my brake pads started to deteriorate. I can find the correct size of brake pads, but the current ones have clips mounted on the pads which sit on the piston side of the calliper. They allow the pad to be installed into the piston. Does anyone know where I can find these pads, which seem to be rear?

Alternatively, I was wondering if replacing the callipers with GQ model ones would be easier as they are also single piston. I'm hoping, in terms of finding pads, it would be easier than for the MK series. Does anyone know where I could find GQ series callipers?

Thanks for the advice!
